Our path to reconciliation

Atura Power is committed to collaborating with Indigenous Nations and communities and continues to support ongoing reconciliation efforts.

We will build mutually beneficial relationships and operate with integrity and transparency.

Our path to reconciliation

Atura Power is proud to launch our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a key step in our commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.

Our RAP is a formal commitment to building respectful, lasting relationships with Indigenous communities through engagement rooted in trust, understanding and shared goals. It also reflects our belief that reconciliation is both a responsibility and an opportunity for growth.

We are committed to tracking, evaluating and reporting our progress toward the RAP’s goals and deliverables with transparency and accountability.

Indigenous Sponsorship Program

Atura Power supports Indigenous community‑led initiatives in the areas in which we operate and develop projects. Our sponsorships are guided by a governance framework that ensures our contributions are thoughtful, responsible and aligned with our commitments to reconciliation. These sponsorships advance Indigenous‑identified priorities in arts, culture and heritage, education, and health.

Our approach is guided by four principles:

Respect & Recognition: We honour Indigenous rights, histories, governance systems and treaty relationships.

Reciprocity: We support initiatives that create mutual benefit and opportunities for shared learning.

Reconciliation: Our sponsorships advance the actions outlined in Atura Power’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

Transparency & Accountability: We follow clear and consistent processes for reviewing, approving and tracking all contributions.

Atura Power is committed to fostering positive relationships, promoting cultural awareness and supporting sustainable development initiatives with Indigenous communities.

Atura Power is proud to be a Committed participant in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program, led by the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB).

Through this commitment, we are working to build and strengthen meaningful, reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities and businesses, while continually improving how we engage and collaborate.

Our participation reflects our intention to embed reconciliation into our policies, practices and culture, and to hold ourselves accountable as we work to earn trust and build respectful, long-term partnerships that support economic reconciliation.
